Rendezvous with Clay (Workshop: December 18th)

Pottery can be a hobby or it can become a major part of your life.  This workshop is great way to start your exploration with clay in a relaxed environment.  This workshop is also ideal if you are looking to do fun activity with your friends or family. No prior experience working with clay is needed.

This is a 1 day workshop, with 2 sessions, 3 hours each with 1 hour of lunch break. This workshop will delve into specific ceramic handbuilding techniques which are perfect for beginners. Each student will make an article using the technique and add necessary surface decoration.

Pick Up Date for the Articles: 12th January'23

Cost includes all materials, plus your article will be glazed and fired by our staff after the event. The process of drying, glazing and firing can take up to 3-4 weeks, so you will be able to pick your article only after 4 weeks from the workshop date.

Instructor Brief:

Kinjal Shah, born in Kolkata, India and has been brought up in Bengaluru where she completed her Bachelors in visual arts from College of Fine Arts, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, specializing in Ceramics.

Her compositions in ceramic sculpture, design and industrial products are based on understanding traditional and non-traditional techniques from different cultures. 

Along with her ceramic practices, she experiments with various methods, media, form, colors and textures on functional and non-functional wares. She tries to create a dialogue between her works and the viewers with the belief that a narrative is ever evolving.

Note:

• Registration and payment is required  to secure a spot in class
• Cancellation and refund Policy:
  1. No refunds willbe provided if the registration is not cancelled 1 week before the start of the program
  2. A refund of 75% will be provided if cancellation does occur before 1 week of commencement of the
      program
  3. Claystation will not offer refund for the sessions missed
  4. Refund will get processed from our end only after 15 days

  5. Claystation  reserves the right to cancel or change the schedule of classes. The participant will receive full refund in the event of cancellation. However, if the classes are rescheduled, there will be no refund

  6. All refunds will be processed only after 15 days from cancellation

• Studio Closure:
  If the studio is forced to close due to factors outside of our control such as severe weather conditions, or an infectious disease such as Covid-19, we will make effort to reschedule the paused sessions. However we will not offer any refunds
• Transfers:
  Transfer to an alternative class date is not possible once you register. You will need to cancel the registration for the existing program (Cancellation and refund policy will apply) and re-register for the new program
