Open Studio
- Students and hobby potters may use open studio hours to practice outside of class hours.
- Separate open studio is available for wheel and handbuilding..
- Open studio is available between Tuesday -Sunday.
- On these days, two slots are available 10.30am-1.30 pm and 2.30pm-5.30pm..
- Open studio slots are limited and you can find the available slots and purchase from https://claystation.in/workshops/
- All Open Studio charges are exclusive of clay, glazes and firing charges.
- For open studio, members should bring their clay, glazes, own tools, aprons and other necessary supplies.
- Open studio glazing option is not available. One should procure open studio glaze for this.
- Members using open studio should clean the wheel, wedging tables and work tables thoroughly.
- Members will be given shelf space of 40X25 cm to store their open studio work. This is for a single day. This provision is given so folks can store their articles and trim them next day. However, if the article is stored beyond a day, additional shelf space has to be purchased. Additional shelf space is available on a day or week or monthly basis at a nominal charge.
- Members opting to fire their open studio pieces should include proper signature for easy identification of your pieces.
- Members will be given one shelf to store their open studio work. Additional shelf space can be purchased.
- Members should take extreme care to avoid any accidents while firing their items in the kiln. If damages are encountered then participant will be asked to pay the damage charges.
- Open studio items will be fired only when the firing slot is available. You will need to talk to Studio manager to understand the schedule before you plan.
- Children and friends of members are NOT allowed in the facility during open studio hours.
- Open studio hours can change on short notice. Check the notice boards for updates.
