June Weekend “From Clay to Creation” : Intensive Beginner Hand-building program

Discover and explore  the timeless art of handbuilding, one of the oldest and most versatile techniques in ceramics. This course is designed to help beginners build a strong foundation, focusing on key methods like pinching, coiling, and slab work.

Class Size: 8 (first come, first served)

Total Classes: 8 + 5 flexible practice sessions

Glazing Session: 2 (Dip glaze technique, 1 day)

Note : Articles for the glazing session will be selected by instructor  on   ("6th July )

Make-Up Studio Classes & Practice Sessions (Without Instructor)
Take up flexible practice sessions after your course to enhance your skills - 5 sessions  (3 hrs  - each)
(Inform the studio a day prior between 10:30am to 5:30am to book your slot

Glazing Session (10:30 am -5:30 pm):  @20th July, Sunday

Article pick-up date: 25th  July -30th July

Post 30th July  , the articles will not be saved  in the studio.
Please go through the dates, time and the respective days of the course sessions. 

Materials to be brought by students: Plastic Covers ,Scissors, Protractor ,compass, Pen, Small Notebook, Pencil, CD-markers.

 

 

ABOUT OUR INSTRUCTOR:

Kinjal Shah

Kinjal Shah, born in Kolkata, India and has been brought up in Bengaluru where she completed her Bachelors in visual arts from College of Fine Arts, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, specializing in Ceramics.

Her compositions in ceramic sculpture, design and industrial products are based on understanding traditional and non-traditional techniques from different cultures. 

Along with her ceramic practices, she experiments with various methods, media, form, colors and textures on functional and non-functional wares. She tries to create a dialogue between her works and the viewers with the belief that a narrative is ever evolving.

NOTE:

1Refund

  • On or before 7 days (4th May )  - Full refund
  • On or before 2 days (9th May )  - 50 % refund
  • Cancellation after (10th April ) - No refund
  • All the refunds will be processed only after 15 working days post cancellation

2. Transfer

  • Transfer to another person - If a person is not able to attend the program for any personal reasons, they can transfer their slot to another person for the program they have registered for, and inform the studio at least 1 day before to add them in the group.
  • Transfer to another class - Transfer to an alternative class date is not possible once you register. You will need to cancel the registration for the existing program (Cancellation and refund policy will apply) and re-register for the new program

3.Missed Sessions -

  • Claystation will not offer refunds for the sessions missed
  • Claystation reserves the right to cancel or change the schedule of classes. The participant will receive a full refund in the event of cancellation. However, if the classes are rescheduled, you can opt for shifting to the next batch/postponed date or take a refund.

4.Studio Closure:

  • If the studio is forced to close due to factors outside of our control such as severe weather conditions, or an infectious disease such as Covid-19, we will make an effort to reschedule the paused sessions. However we will not offer any refunds
