About the Course:
This 14 session comprehensive sculpture course is designed for anyone passionate about exploring the human form through clay. Whether you're a beginner or someone with prior experience looking to enhance your figurative work, this course provides a hands-on journey into the world of relief and three-dimensional sculptures. No prior experience is required!

 

What You'll Learn:

  1. Understand body proportions and figure structures
  2. Capture character and expression in sculpture
  3. Translate 3D forms into relief sculptures
  4. Practice rapid sketching to strengthen observational skills
  5. Model facial features, portraits, torsos, and full figures

 

Course Highlights:

  1. Instructor-led sessions and open practice studios (OPS)
  2. Create facial relief tiles and portrait reliefs
  3. Explore geometric portraits using additive and subtractive techniques

 

Course Structure:
Each day combines theory, practical activities, and assignments to reinforce learning outcomes.

  1. Facial Features Study: Rapid sketching and relief tile creation
  2. Geometric Portraits: Build solid geometric head structures
  3. Portrait Relief: Craft gender-specific portraits on relief tiles
  4. Torso Study: Sculpt male and female torsos using hollow-building techniques
  5. Full Figure Relief: Transform a full-body image into a relief sculpture

Meet Ishita Nagar,

Ishita Nagar is a sculptor with a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A) from Banaras Hindu University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A) from Kurukshetra University. Her work has been showcased at events and participated at camps.

 Ishita also explored ceramics through intensive studio work at Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal.

Currently a Resident Artist at Clay Station, Bangalore, she previously served as a Sculpture Mentor at Alive Studio, Gurgaon, and as an Artist in Residence at Dharamkot Studio. Her work blends technical precision with emotional depth, reflecting a contemporary perspective while inspiring emerging artists through her mentorship and creative practice.

 

 

 

NOTE:

1Refund

  • On or before 7 days (19th April)  - Full refund
  • On or before 2 days (24th April)  - 50 % refund
  • Cancellation after (24th April) - No refund
  • All the refunds will be processed only after 15 working days post cancellation

2Transfer

  • Transfer to another person - If a person is not able to attend the program for any personal reasons, they can transfer their slot to another person for the program they have registered for, and inform the studio at least 1 day before to add them in the group.
  • Transfer to another class - Transfer to an alternative class date is not possible once you register. You will need to cancel the registration for the existing program (Cancellation and refund policy will apply) and re-register for the new program

3.Missed Sessions -

  • Claystation will schedule  make up session . Kindly  Connect with Studio team
  • Claystation will not offer refunds for the sessions missed
  • Claystation reserves the right to cancel or change the schedule of classes. The participant will receive a full refund in the event of cancellation. However, if the classes are rescheduled, you can opt for shifting to the next batch/postponed date or take a refund.

4.Studio Closure:

  • If the studio is forced to close due to factors outside of our control such as severe weather conditions, or an infectious disease such as Covid-19, we will make an effort to reschedule the paused sessions. However we will not offer any refunds
