ABOUT OUR INSTRUCTOR:

Meet Nidhi Shetty, a Nuclear Physicist on the professional front and an Artist by passion, she likes to call herself a perpetually curious person. She has always been captivated by the interplay between Science and Art and she tries to seamlessly integrate these two worlds in her creative explorations.

Her journey with Clay started at Clay Station when she took up the four month Intensive Foundation Course. Her work with clay is heavily influenced by her deep appreciation for Oriental art and Philosophy and she loves to integrate traditional techniques such as Sumi E, Kimikara with Clay to create a fusion of Ceramics and Eastern artistic styles. Her pieces often feature elements that are symbolic of nature and Spirituality in Oriental Art.

She incorporates mindfulness into her creative process which allows her to cultivate a state of present moment awareness while she works with clay. This mindfulness imbues her piece with a sense of serenity, tranquillity and introspection, which resonates with viewers and invites them to experience a deeper connection with her work.
