Wheel Throwing 01 (May Weekday)

This beginner's course is designed for you to build solid foundation in wheel throwing, this is vital for you to master this art. Through this program you will learn fundamental techniques like wedging, centering, pulling and trimming. Also you will learn to throw and alter cylinders into bottles and one piece for creative expression.

Additionally, you will gain core knowledge of the basics of ceramics and clay. Good understanding about this versatile medium is quite critical for your learning process.

Also you will be introduced to basic glaze application techniques and few of your selected pieces will be glazed to take home.

This is a 12 session course, spread over 6 weeks, of 3 hours per session followed by one last review session which will be conducted online. An additional of 6 open studio sessions will be included which has to be taken during the first 4 weeks of the course duration.

Instructor led Session dates: May  5^th, 6^th, 11^th , 12^th,13^th,18^th , 19^th,20^th, 26^th,27^th,June 1^st , 4^th (Friday) and 10^th (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM)

NOTE: Please go through the dates and the respective days of the course sessions as not all sessions are being conducted on every Wednesday, Thursday and Tuesday.

We can accommodate only 8 students per wheel throwing batch, hence the registration will be on a first come first serve basis.

You will be working with cone 6 stoneware clay and glazes that are made in house and used by professional ceramic artists. The class fee includes firing and supplies. As part of supplies you will be given 20kgs of stoneware clay, glazes, apron and a set of basic pottery tools which is to be used for the class sessions.

• Cancellation Policy : No refunds will be provided if the registration is not cancelled 72 hours before the start of the program. A refund of 75% will be provided if cancellation does occur before 72 hours of commencement of the program
