Instructor Brief:

After 16 years of work across the financial and the development sectors, Namrata decided to foray into a creative career as a studio potter. Priorly, her love for art and craft were limited to hobby projects. A situation in life that urged her to deliberately practice mindfulness exposed her to the world of creative professionals and their endless possibilities and then there was no turning back -  within a year she successfully set up her own studio by the name “A.Ware Studio”

Being driven by logic and analytics/research, Namrata’s approach to finessing her skills as a potter has involved understanding the nuances of clay and the interplay of the varied factors that influence the creation of objects with clay. From extensive networking with like-minded potters to spending hours on the internet or even reading pottery books, Namrata has relentlessly sought answers to challenges that tended to put brakes on her ability to create minimalist utilitarian objects.

Being the curious, observant, highly extroverted person she is, she believes teaching will help her further thrive as a potter through boundless questions from her students, through exchange of ideas with them and through continued associations with them as they move on to carve on their journeys as potters!
